Election of Lord Mayor and Lunch 2026

This is a very special event in the civic calendar when liverymen of all livery companies meet to elect the Lord Mayor for the year.  The office of Lord Mayor has been in existence since 1189 and the election is a spectacular and historical occasion. Only liverymen admitted before 31 May 2025 can attend the ceremony and are entitled to cast a vote.

The election will be followed by a three course lunch with wine at Furniture Makers’ Hall to which all members are invited to attend.  Election lunches are convivial occasions and an excellent way for new members to get to know their fellow liverymen and freemen. Partners, colleagues and friends are very welcome to attend the lunch as well.  The cost of the lunch is £90 inc VAT and we will be joined this year by members of the Arts Scholars, Communicators and Solicitors’ Companies.
