The annual competition took place on 21 October at Puttshack with the Furniture Makers’ team comprising Master Jessica Alexander, Past Master Brian Ahern, freeman Annette Ahern and court assistant Graham Marley. Together, they scored 1,554 points to claim a podium finish in the contest for the Cartwright Cup, which brought together participants from across the Livery for a day of friendly rivalry and fellowship.

The Entrepreneurs reclaimed the trophy with 1,630 points, followed by the Founders in second place with 1,575. The Makers of Playing Cards finished fourth with 1,530 points, while Actuaries 1 completed the top five with 1,522. Last year’s champions, the Insurers, finished sixth with 1,475.

In the individual competition, Duncan Simms, Clerk of the Entrepreneurs, took first place with 575 points, helping his team secure the overall title. AJ Shaman of the Founders was runner-up with 488 points.

With several teams separated by just a handful of points, the competition combined closely contested performances with an opportunity to strengthen connections between London’s Livery Companies.
