Welcome to our new liverymen and corporate liverymen
We admitted four liverymen and three corporate liverymen to The Furniture Maker’s Company in a ceremony on Thursday 13 December during our Court Meeting at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London.
The liverymen and corporate liverymen admitted were:
Liveryman: Gary Baker
Gary Mark Baker is the managing director of CD (UK) Ltd. CD (UK) is the exclusive supplier of Corian in the UK and Ireland. Gary is an active member and supporter of the charity, he is also the chairman of FIESTA (The Furniture and Interiors Education, Skills and Training Alliance).
Liveryman: Thomas Crofts
William Thomas Hornsby Crofts is a sales executive for Crofts & Assinder Ltd. Thomas has been an avid supporter of the company’s activities and follows a number of members of the Crofts family into the livery.
Liveryman: Marcus Jahrling
Marcus Jahrling is the senior construction manager for DRG Interiors. Marcus started his career in carpentry and joinery before moving into construction management.
Liveryman: Andrew Sykes
Andrew Edward Sykes is a managing director and chairman of RHG Insurance Brokers. Andrew has been an active member of the Furniture Makers since joining in 2015 and regularly attends events and has been on the membership committee since May 2017.
Corporate liveryman: Steve Bulmer
Steve is the managing director for Biesse Group UK Ltd. Steve started at Biesse in 1992 where he was a sales manager up until 2000. He went on to be managing director at Essetre UK Ltd and Italcomma UK between 2000-2002 and 2002-2003, respectively. Steve returned to Biesse in 2003 as commercial director before taking up his current role in June 2009.
Corporate liveryman: Andrew Baker
Andrew is the marketing manager at Biesse Group UK Ltd. He has held his position since May 2017. Andrew started his career as a marketing executive in 1997 at Allen Coding. He has since held roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Line 6, in21 now and Omron. Andrew last worked for The Dwyer Group before moving to Biesse to take up his current role.
Corporate liverymen: Alex Gifford
Alex Gifford is the design director for KI Europe, having previously been brand communications manager at Steelcase and brand and communications manager for The Senator Group. Alex has a long history of involvement with The Furniture Makers’ Company, having previously chaired the Design Guild Mark committee. Alex takes over from Jonathan Hindle as KI’s prime corporate liveryman.
