The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) have signed up as an official show partner of Evolution of Tradition, a new selling exhibition of luxurious bespoke furniture launching this autumn at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.

Evolution of Tradition, which will run from 2-5 October 2018, will feature exclusive designs purely from Bespoke Guild Mark holders and is being organised by The Furniture Makers’ Company and Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.

The Bespoke Guild Mark, awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company, is the ultimate accolade for designer-makers, rewarding excellence in design, materials, craftsmanship and function for exquisite pieces of furniture.

An impressive rollcall of established designer-makers and new talent from the vibrant British craft scene will be exhibiting at the show, including Matthew Burt, Byron & Gómez, Jonathan Field, Marc Fish, Tim Gosling, Alun Heslop, Edward Johnson, John Makepeace OBE, Rupert McBain, Laurent Peacock, Jake Phipps, Angus Ross, Rupert Senior, Katie Walker and Waywood.

The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) is the UK’s foremost membership body for the timber supply chain. Its members constitute of timber importers, merchants, agents and manufacturers and account for around two-thirds of the £10 billion UK timber industry.

It offers a host of services to its members including technical, trade and sustainability advice alongside political and industry representation.

Meanwhile the Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) is an umbrella organisation, representing the UK’s Timber supply chain from forest to end of life recycling.

The CTI represents producers, manufacturers and distributors of timber across all the supply chain. Its membership includes large multinational companies as well as key trade associations, NGOs and research institutes.
