Why did Biesse feel it was important to support the Step 2 It campaign?

We felt that that it was important to support the Step 2 It campaign as Gold Sponsor because it’s a fun way of getting people involved with the charity whilst raising money for this important cause. We wanted to be part of this campaign because not only are we corporate members of the Furniture Makers’ Company, but we also want to fully support the industry and to help those working in it.

We thought a fun, flexible and easily accessible activity for our staff would be a great way to support the campaign. In addition, Step 2 It provides a vehicle to support a healthy lifestyle.

Are you planning on organising an event as well?

We have launched our own event to raise money for the Step2It campaign. Biesse Group UK have encouraged the whole workforce to participate in a virtual 1,053-mile journey from our UK HQ in Daventry to our company Head Quarters in Pesaro, Italy. Our team can contribute to our journey by walking, cycling or running locally whilst raising money at the same time! By having a virtual journey, it allows the whole UK business to participate, no matter where they are located. Biesse Group UK will donate £1 per every mile completed. Individual participants can also create their own fundraising activities to support the campaign.
