International office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller is to host the sixth Furniture Makers’ Best Practice Day focusing on the theme of ‘Creating value and differentiating your company in the digital age’.

Andy Humphreys, regional director – UK & Ireland at Herman Miller, and Peter Holland, principal director at Linear Consulting, will reveal the competitive advantage that professional sales management practices have on delivering customer value. 

The event, which is taking place at Herman Miller’s London office on 5 February 2020, will touch upon the following topics.

  • Incorporating social media into sales
  • How to create marketing gravity to attract the best clients
  • Management for improved accountability
  • How to plan effectively for maximum impact

The Best Practice Day is a free event open to all corporate members of The Furniture Makers’ Company as well as Manufacturing Guild Mark holders and is designed to facilitate open innovation and shared learning among businesses.

The biannual event is hosted by a corporate member with each workshop focusing on a particular theme that the hosting company excels in. The last one focused on logistics and was hosted Häfele  on 29 October. A video of the highlights from the day is below.
