Rycotewood Graduate Show at Furniture Makers’ Hall
This year’s graduating BA (Hons) Furniture: Design and Make cohort will be hosting an exhibition of creative craftsmanship and will be available for photography and conversation from 2-9pm at the Furniture Makers Hall in London on Thursday 6 July.
The graduates, who will collect their degree from Oxford Brookes University, will be showing the very best of their design and craftsmanship honed over the past three years of study.
The graduation exhibition will be on display at the prestigious Furniture Makers Hall, 12 Austin Friars, London, EC2N 2HE and will take place at Thursday 6th July – 2-9pm (6.30 Drinks reception).
‘Grown out of Rycotewood’ was conceived to share the successes of our recent graduates and support the start of their journey beyond the security of education. The work exhibited illustrates their command of the technical skills and advanced understanding of materials and processes required to produce high quality craftsmanship. However it is the combination of skill with creativity which makes these graduates unique.
At Rycotewood, in central Oxford, our aim is to propagate and nurture creative and highly skilled craftsmen. It is a renowned centre of excellence, delivering vocational training in the design and craft of furniture from entry level to BA (Hons). We offer courses in furniture making, upholstery, apprenticeships and degree level programmes in partnership with Oxford Brookes University.
