Operations managers needed to take part in liveryman’s research
Liveryman Paul Stackhouse, a lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire, is looking for 10 people working in an operations management role in furniture manufacturing to help him with some confidential research that will explore the impact of the pandemic on the industry.
The interviews, which will be conducted from 7-31 March, will help form the qualitive research of Paul’s final year MBA thesis titled: ‘The impact of Coronavirus on Workplace Performance Management within the Furniture Manufacturing Industry‘.
The research aims to understand how organisations have adapted their performance management policies and procedures, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and in particular how organisations in the furniture making industry have changed their way of working, i.e., ‘working from home’; ‘hybrid’ working practices, etc.
The interviews will be carried out and recorded over Microsoft Teams and should last approximately one hour. All company names and individuals interviewed as part of the research will be kept confidential.
Paul said: “The research will build on what has already been conducted in manufacturing across the globe but to try to understand how organisations are evolving. Any help that you can give in promoting my research topic in enlisting companies/individuals to interview would be greatly appreciated.”
If you work in an operations management role at a furniture manufacturer that employs 500 people or less and would like to take part in the research, please email Paul Stackhouse: PJStackhouse1@uclan.ac.uk.
