Our annual National Golf Day has raised a huge £5,000 for the furnishing industry’s only dedicated charity.

Around 70 people from across the furnishing industry took part in the National Golf Day on Wednesday 28 September at the world-renowned Oxfordshire Golf Club.

The day started with bacon rolls and coffee followed by an 18 hole Stableford competition with a shotgun start. Competitors later sat down to a two-course lunch, prize giving ceremony and charity raffle.

  • Nearest the Pin: Paul Callaghan, Kaymed Beds
  • Longest Drive: Carl Puxley, Handy Ltd.

Peter Mallinson, Merchandise Director (home) at AIS, who organised the event, said: “As well as raising money for the industry’s only dedicated charity, the golf day has always been a terrific event and first class networking opportunity for people working right across the furnishings sector.
