National Golf Day – a call for entries
The National Charity Golf Day, a charity tournament organised in aid of The Furniture Makers’ Company, returns to the Northamptonshire County Golf Club next month (Wednesday 20 September).
The event, which is the charity’s longest running fundraiser, will tee off with a hearty breakfast followed by an 18-hole Stableford competition with a shotgun start. After the day’s play, guests will sit down to a two-course lunch. The fundraiser will be capped off with a prize giving ceremony and charity raffle. Golfers will be competing for an array of trophies and prizes, including top individual, top team, plus awards for the longest drive and nearest the pin.
Jonny Westbrooke, CEO of The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “The National Golf Day is one of the highlights of our calendar of fundraising events and we’re delighted to be returning to Northamptonshire County Golf Club, which is ranked in the top 100 UK courses. The National Golf Day not only brings together golf enthusiasts for a fantastic day of socialising with others from the industry but also plays a crucial role in supporting our charity, with all the money raised going towards funding our programme of educational activity and helping those in the trade who have fallen on hard times. We look forward to welcoming guests to what is always a superb event.”
