Lectra signs up as major sponsor of the Manufacturing Guild Mark

We are pleased to announce that Lectra, the world leader in integrated technology solutions dedicated to industries using fabrics, leather, technical textiles and composite materials, has signed up as major sponsor of the prestigious Manufacturing Guild Mark.

Awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the Manufacturing Guild Mark has been the mark of excellence, distinguishing Britain’s top furnishing manufacturers, since 1993.  The award is made to the company that demonstrates high standards across all aspects of the business, including manufacturing, design, product quality, marketing, finance, commitment to training, employment conditions and sustainability.

The audits are carried out by FIRA International on behalf of The Furniture Makers’ Company and companies are re-audited every three years to ensure they retain their high standards.

The Manufacturing Guild Mark is only open to companies that manufacture most of their products in the UK – whether they make upholstered or cabinet furniture, kitchens or office furniture, contemporary or traditional styles. Unlike other Guild Marks, the Manufacturing Guild Mark is awarded to the company and not a specific product or product range.

Currently 18 British manufacturers hold the coveted Manufacturing Guild Mark.
