Launch of the Yorkshire and Central Region

We are pleased to announce the launch of The Furniture Makers’ Company Yorkshire and Central Region, chaired by Fara Butt of Shire Beds.

The new regional committee aims to raise vital funds for our charity and host networking  events for local members of the furnishing industry.

Join us on 18th May for a three course evening meal at the famous Aakash Restaurant, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire – the largest Indian restaurant in the UK!

We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker The Baroness Warsi

A lawyer, an entrepreneur and a Cabinet Minister, Sayeeda Warsi has had many roles.Her background has made her a champion for British business both at home and abroad.Sayeeda was once again named in 2014/15 by the Royal Strategic Studies Centre as 1 of 500 of the most influential Muslims in the world. Her tweet announcing her resignation from government was re-tweeted more than 35,000 times and was used by 2015 Political Awards as the most influential tweet of 2015.Sayeeda is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Bolton, advisor to Georgetown University Washington DC and Visiting Professor at St Marys – the oldest catholic university in UK.
