International furniture fittings and hardware manufacturer Häfele will give a masterclass on creating an adaptive and innovative logistics program as part of the next Best Practice Day, organised by The Furniture Makers’ Company.

Mark Batchelor of Häfele UK and Peter Holland of Linear Consulting will reveal the challenges and pitfalls to avoid and the steps needed to be taken to dramatically transform performance, the customer’s experience and business results.

The event, which is taking place at Häfele’s Rugby head office on 29 October 2019, will touch upon the following topics:

  • The potential challenges and pitfalls to avoid when developing a logistics program.
  • How can you remain flexible and resilient, despite change and on-going customer demands?
  • How to plan effectively for maximum impact throughout the company.
  • How to ensure your plan gets implemented correctly – tools to make the process easy.
  • How can you generate real internal team engagement?
  • Interviews, factory tours and real-life Häfele case studies.

The Best Practice Day is a free event open to all corporate members of The Furniture Makers’ Company as well as Manufacturing Guild Mark holders and is designed to facilitate open innovation and shared learning among businesses.

The biannual event is hosted by a corporate member with each workshop focusing on a particular theme that the hosting company excels in.

Peter Holland, organiser of the event, said: “At the conclusion of this event, you will be well informed and in a position to take positive action to design and implement your own logistics program for growth. Spaces are limited so be sure to book you place now for this impactful business building event.”
