Get a hole in one at the National Charity Golf Day and win £5,000 for yourself and The Furniture Makers’ Company
Fancy trying your luck for £5,000? Golfers in attendance at this year’s National Charity Golf Day, organised by The Furniture Makers’ Company, will be in with a chance of winning £5,000 for themselves and the charity if they get a hole in one!
The National Charity Golf Day will take place on Wednesday 26 September 2019 at the world-renowned Warwickshire Golf Club.
Participants will be playing on the Kings course, an American style golf course with some great views, as well as wide fairways, large undulating greens, and plenty of lakes and water hazards to catch out even seasoned professionals.
The course’s signature hole, the 8th, measures 193 yards from the white tee, and to reach the green you must fly the ball all the way to avoid the lake in between.
One of the industry’s most high profile events of the year, the day tees off with bacon rolls and coffee followed by an 18 hole Stableford competition with a shotgun start. Competitors will later sit down to a two-course lunch, prize giving ceremony and charity raffle.
An array of trophies and prizes will be on offer, including awards for the longest drive and nearest the pin. There is a number of sponsorship opportunities available for companies wishing to support.
Some extra fun items have been planned for players for 2019, including the hole in one competition and a ‘beat the pro’ game.
Dids Macdonald OBE, Master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “Our summer events programme would not be complete without the National Charity Golf Day, our longest running fundraiser and a day not to be missed. As well as a great day out on a stunning course, our National Charity Golf Day is a brilliant way to support our charity, enabling us to do even more to support those in need from our industry and educate young talent.”
