Four new freemen admitted
We are delighted to welcome four new freemen to The Furniture Makers’ Company
The new freemen were admitted to the Company on 25 July prior to the Young Professional Industry Experience lunch and presentation.
The new members are:
Simon Acres
Simon is the director of Acres Consultancy Ltd, which specialises in training and recruitment. Simon previously worked for Omega PLC having finished 20 years as sales & marketing director.
Graham Jackson
Graham is the owner of GJ Consultancy having previously had a number of roles within the furniture industry, including managing director at Bell Northampton and retail director for Heals.
Digby Summerhill
Digby is a director at Minotti London, having originally joined as a manager in October 2015. He has previously worked for EDC London Furniture and Lightsource Renewable Energy.
Claire Williams
Claire is the strategic business development director at Ocee Design, Claire joined Ocee in April 2017 as a product specialist having previously worked for Boss Design and ERA.
The Master Dids Macdonald OBE said: “It was such a pleasure to welcome Simon, Graham, Digby and Claire as freemen. I am delighted that, without exception, they all indicated they wish to immerse themselves in supporting our work and give something back to this industry. Already, some have indicated which committee they wish to join and all of them bring a diversity of talents and experience from which we will benefit enormously.”
