David takes on goliath running challenge for Step 2 It

David Finch, the finance director at British furniture manufacturer Ercol, is taking on his very own goliath this autumn as he looks to tackle the Chiltern 50 Challenge in aid of our Step 2 It campaign.

David, who enjoys long distance running, is going the proverbial extra mile for the charity as he has opted for the gruelling Ultra challenge, a 50km (32 miles) looped route that will include 920 metres of elevation.

The race, which is five miles longer than a marathon, is taking place at the Henley Showground on Saturday 25 September. The route will see David pass through nature reserves, forests, and rolling hills amid the beautiful Chilterns countryside.

David said: “I am a keen runner who likes to take on the challenge of running long distances. I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money for a very worthy cause.”
