Corporate member wins family business award
Corporate member Furniture Village took the Retail crown at the Family Business of the Year Awards organised by Family Business United.
Family Business United celebrates family owned businesses across the UK, recognising the contribution they make in terms of employment, income generation and wealth creation and the national awards are the culmination of the award journey and a chance to really put family businesses on the map.
In the ‘virtual’ awards ceremony held live online, Furniture Village took the national Retail title and were worthy winners of the accolade. Since opening up their first store in Abingdon in 1989 Furniture Village has grown to become Britain’s largest privately owned furniture retailer offering great choice, great quality and great value in stores around the country.

Last year we celebrated 30 years since my father, Peter Harrison, opened our first store and we have come so far since then. Everyone at Furniture Village has played a part in the incredible journey from one store in Abingdon in 1989 to where we are today.”
