Corporate member Hypnos has appointed Mark Cort as commercial director, completing the company’s board restructure as the British bedmaker looks ahead to continued sustainable growth.

Joining the board of directors in the company’s 120th year, Mark will use his experience in the industry to build on its legacy and continue growth in sales of Hypnos beds and mattresses within the retail and hospitality sectors.

Previously, Mark held the role of managing director at Jay-Be and has also helped to shape business at Bensons for Beds. This long track record means that Mark is highly knowledgeable and capable with strong relationships across the industry. He adds leadership and a commercial focus to the Hypnos sales team.

David Baldry, group managing director, said: “I first met Mark shortly after I joined the world of beds and found him incredibly welcoming and supportive – a great ambassador for the industry. I know that he’s as excited as I am with the direction of Hypnos and it’s a pleasure to introduce Mark to the board, completing the senior leadership team and equipping us for strong future growth.”

This addition follows a year of significant change and investments in infrastructure including a new website and ERP system, ensuring the bedmaker has a secure base for future development.
