Big Shots fundraisers raise £23,000 for charity
Popular fundraisers Big Shots and Northern Big Shots returned with a bang in June and July as furnishing industry colleagues raised a huge £23,000 for The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry.
People from furnishing businesses around the UK turned out in force to support the two events, which were cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Northern Big Shots took place on Thursday 24 June at Catton Hall, Cheshire. More than 60 people, making up 15 teams, turned out for a fantastic day of shooting and networking, with the event raising £10,000.
Meanwhile, Big Shots returned to Holland and Holland Shooting Ground in Middlesex on Wednesday 14 July 2021. Around 60 people attended the event, which is now in its 26th year. After the fun of the shooting competition, the guests sat down to a delicious lunch. The event raised just under £13,000 for the charity.
The Furniture Makers’ Company would like to thank the following sponsors and supporters of Big Shots and Northern Big Shots: Beechcrown Group, Blum, Catton Hall Shooting Ground, Cavendish Upholstery, Celtheath, Colourfast, Drury Adams, Ercol, Fabb Furniture, Flameproofings, Greenlight, Holland and Holland, Hypnos, John Cotton, Millbrook Bed Company, Nicoletti Home, Panaz, Peroda, Premier, Silentnight, Sleepeezee, Tempur, ViSpring and Whitemeadow.
