We would like to thank the National Bed Federation and all the people who attended the Bed Show’s Gala Dinner earlier this month for raising £3,400 for the charity.

The dinner, which took place on Tuesday 17 September at the Telford International Centre as part of the two-day Bed Show, was hosted by broadcaster Gyles Brandreth and attended by more than 450 guests from the industry.

Master Dids Macdonald OBE was also in attendance and spoke to guests about the charity’s welfare support provision and the One Step at a Time campaign.

During the gala dinner, six bed industry businesses, chosen from a shortlist of finalists by an independent panel of judges, were announced as the 2019 Bed Industry Award winners.

This year’s winners were J. Marshall No.4 by Vispring for Bed of the Year; Vitafoam with FReefoam for Innovation of the Year; Cortec by Harrison Spinks for Component of the Year; Dreams for National Bed Retailer of the Year; Mattress Online for Pure Online Bed Retailer of the Year and North East based Linthorpe Beds for Independent Bed Retailer of the Year.

Master Dids Macdonald OBE said: “I was thrilled to attend the National Bed Federation awards and equally with the contents of gift aid envelopes totalling £3,400 for the charity. Thank you so much Jessica Alexander and the National Bed Federation.”
