The British Contract Furnishing Association, the trade group for the contract furnishing industry, raised £1,775 for our charity at its 50th anniversary annual luncheon in November.

The event, which was attended by more than 500 of the association’s members, took place on Thursday 4 November 2021 at the Royal Lancaster, London.

Following a superb three course lunch, Tony Attard, our senior warden and CEO of Panaz, gave a short speech about the work our charity has done, supporting people affected by the pandemic, over the past 18 months before introducing a short video featuring a person we have supported.

Members of staff were then invited to circulate the room and collect donations from guests, who were very receptive to supporting the charity’s vital work.

Jeremy Stein, managing director at the BCFA, said: “The pandemic has had a major impact on many BCFA members and their teams, and so at our Annual BCFA Luncheon we were glad that we could talk about the support work that the Furniture Makers Charity has been doing during this period, and even more pleased that the collection on the day raised £1,775 for the Step 2 It campaign.”

Jonny Westbrooke, CEO at The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “What a wonderful show of generosity from BCFA members. A huge thank you for promoting the charity at your 50th anniversary luncheon and for raising a great sum that will help us continue our work.”
