Axminster Golf Day raises £3.2k

The Axminster Golf Day, the annual event organised by our South West region, has raised £3,200 for our charity.

The event, principally sponsored by corporate member Axminster Tools, took place on Tuesday 18 April and was once again held at Lyme Regis Golf Club.

A total of 52 players made up 13 teams with attendees from across the South West supporting the event, including Axminster Tools, Halstock Cabinet Makers, Toolbank, Exeter College, Francis Clark LLP, Creative Solutions, Star Micronics GB, Broadbase Furniture Solutions, Williams and Cleal, Lyme Regis Brewery and those from The Furniture Makers’ Company

The golfers were treated to a clear blue sky and sunshine, and after a fantastic day’s play, Colin Bell from Liberon was named the winner of the individual competition. The winning team was Ian Snow, Tim Daly and Phillip Brown from Toolbank and Kieran Love from Axminster Tools.

Following the tournament, players enjoyed a sandwich lunch before the day finished with a raffle and silent auction, with prizes kindly supplied by from Shesto, Mirka, Fisch, Bosh, Verita, Toolbank. Exeter College and Lyme Boatbuilding Academy.
