Agua to sponsor Design Guild Mark 2024
Agua has signed up as sponsor of the ‘Interior Design Elements’ category for the 2024 Design Guild Mark awards.
Agua Fabrics is a four-generation family business, specialising in technical soft fabrics and faux leathers that balance form with function. They create market-leading contract fabrics for each and every sector; from healthcare to hospitality and from workplace to cruise. They pride themselves on creating high-performing materials, and all their fabrics are highly durable, fire retardant, waterproof, stain-resistant, and anti-microbial. Their soft fabrics feature a new state-of-the-art protective technology, AguaGuard 365, which has been tested and certified effective against COVID-19. Family owned and run for four generations, there’s nothing they don’t know about upholstery fabrics and nothing they won’t do to support their clients.
Aleks Cvetkovic, journalist and strategist at Agua, said: “We are sponsoring Design Guild Mark because we wanted to ‘give back’ to the industry. We are proud to support a scheme that recognises and rewards outstanding British design in the commercial world – and in a sub-sector with direct relevance to what we do at Agua. We see huge value in supporting a scheme that is recognised as one of the most prestigious in the industry, thanks to its rigorous entry requirements and the calibre of the judges.”
These shared ideals make for the perfect relationship and means that the Design Guild Mark can continue celebrating the outstanding and world-leading designs of British designers that were designed for, and are manufactured by, an industrial design process.
Since its inception in 2008, the Design Guild Mark has grown to become one of the most influential and coveted design programmes. Its three categories (Furniture, Lighting, and Interior Design Elements) are open to designers working in the UK and British designers working abroad. Each submission is subsequently judged in person, with the designer present, by a carefully curated panel of judges, all of whom are at the top of their respective fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the evaluation process.
