60 for 60 nomination checklist
There’s only a couple more weeks to submit entries and nominations for our 60 for 60 programme.
2023 marks the 60th anniversary of the Furniture Makers as the 83rd livery company of the City of London. Rather than reflecting on past achievements, we want to use this milestone to focus on the future and celebrate the young individuals who will shape the industry going forward.
60 for 60 aims to recognise 60 exceptional young people in the UK furniture and furnishing industry who exhibit dedication to their careers and show promise as future leaders.
Since June, we have been accepting nominations and entries from prospective winners for this prestigious award and the deadline of 22 September is fast approaching.
If you’re still planning on submitting an entry, please be aware that you’ll need to have the following prepared.
A one-page CV
For our judges to understand the nominee’s history in the trade, we require a short CV – nothing fancy is needed, just an overview of employment history and education.
A head shot image
Make sure you have an image of the nominee. We’ll use this in marketing materials if they’re successful.
A completed application form
As part of the application form, the applicant will have to write two answers that outline the candidate’s recent outstanding performance in the past 12 months and an outstanding career moment.
And finally, make sure you have the permission of the person you are nominating, just to check that they’re happy to be put forward.
If you have any issues while nominating, please contact George Cooper, marketing and communications manager: george@furnituremakers.org.uk
