The Modernist Collection

The Modernist Collection presents a refined contemporary aesthetic rooted in structural efficiency and material experimentation. Building on Joe Armitage’s debut Classic lamp designs, it includes two wall lamps, a desk lamp, and two suspension options – linear and triple-drop. Each piece is unified by a distinctive U-channel shade, creating a cohesive identity while serving different functional needs. The shade emerged from an extended form-finding process using a recycled PET parchment, developed with a Swiss engineering partner. This flexible material is gently bowed between two linear supports, forming a lightweight yet durable structure that defines the collection’s character.

Handmade in the UK from walnut, brass, and parchment, the collection reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and longevity, while responding directly to evolving client demand.
