Simple and elegant in its design, the table’s legs and their angles allow for maximum legroom. Asymmetrical and hand finished, as with the Pollyfox Bench, the visual reference and design language are drawn from Oriental calligraphic forms. Each trestle features a thick strip of cork along the top to cushion the glass top. Cork has sufficient give to prevent wobble and slippage.
Born in 1974 Henry Swanzy began a comprehensive traditional cabinet-makers training in 1996. As a designer Swanzy has experience from high-end bespoke, through to design for scaled production for brands such as Heals and Made.com. Combining this with a deep understanding of materials, years of hands-on making experience, a craftsman’s eye for perfection, and a zeal for efficiency of manufacture, are fundamental to his approach to design.
