Description
Companions to the Kerning Bookcase Collection, the cabinets feature the same levels of detail and integrity, creating intensely crafted pieces with an easy functionality for daily use. In place of hinges the cabinet doors turn on a handcrafted traditional Chinese dowel joint while a 15mm gap that frames the façade provides a simple means of opening the doors.
About
Born in Hong Kong and educated in Britain, Samuel Chan spent seven years training to be a furniture designer in London, Middlesex and Buckinghamshire Universities. After completing his Masters degree, he worked initially in hotel design. In 1995 Samuel set up Channels a furniture company known for clean, contemporary design and excellent craftsmanship.
