The Monkey Puzzle Tree
Hit the North is a unique wall covering with a rebellious edge featuring a modernist inspired industrial landscape printed onto real cork. Drew Millward’s signature skull motifs merge seamlessly with architecture form the industrial North, and the warmth of natural cork brings character and authenticity to the design. Printed in England onto sustainably sourced cork backed with FSC certified paper, the large scale creates impact in both residential and commercial spaces.
Charlotte Raffo, founder of The Monkey Puzzle Tree collaborated with musical artist Drew Millward to create Hit the North. Established in 2017, The Monkey Puzzle Tree has carved out a new way to harness creative ideas to produce one-of-a-kind design. Carefully selected Yorkshire artists collaborate with Charlotte to create unique textiles and wallcoverings, receiving a 20% royalty for their contribution to the design.
As part of the mission to celebrate the best of the North of England’s creativity, eccentricity and innovation, all designs by The Monkey Puzzle Tree are manufactured within 100 miles of the Leeds studio, supporting traditional industries and maintaining high environmental standards.
