Aspect has been specifically designed to evoke a sense of serenity and purity. Inspired by Japanese culture, a deceptively lightweight base effortlessly supports the surface with dignity. Through the creation of innovative manufacturing techniques, the table offers signature option details and a unique ‘live edge’ effect to provoke a desire to consider things from another perspective. A palette of honest materials inspires a feeling of being closer to nature and a sense of calm.
Tom Rawlings aims to create pieces which offer timeless appeal through a sense of refinement and elegance, relying on an appreciation of natural materials to do so. He is experienced in designing furniture for volume production, craft-based batches and bespoke commissions across a number of sectors. Aspect was designed in his role as Head of Design for William Hands Furniture, a company which shares his passion for quality, sustainability and the desire to marry craft skills with modern technology.
