Description

The idea behind the 1988 sideboard was born from a detailed study of the microscopic natural patterns and textures hidden all around us. Taking inspiration from the dermal denticles that make up the skin of a Hammerhead Shark, the elaborate hand-routed doors draw the observer in and demand direct interaction. Made from fumed European Oak, consecutive boards from a single tree were selected in order to ensure a consistent rich and warm tone. Coupled with brushed brass accents, the finished piece is elevated without distracting from the nature-inspired aesthetic.
