With its roots in mid century chair design, The Holworth is a modern take on a familiar archetype. Conceived as a dining chair for the home and hospitality, the design was led by the idea of creating a low landscape of chairs around a table. Keeping the height of the back close to the height of a table emphasizes the generous width of the chair and the gentle curve of its back. The slender proportions of its frame, and distinctive tapered back leg help to create a chair that is both classic and timeless.
Nathalie de Leval is a Belgian furniture designer and maker based in London, whose work ranges from bespoke commissions and products, to design for furniture production. Nathalie strives for her furniture to transcend our throw away culture, and become pieces that are loved and cared for over many years.
