Chest of Drawers in Brown Oak and Silver

Christopher Vickers is a specialist craftsman-designer of Arts & Crafts furniture, lighting & metalwork. With over 35 years experience, he takes his inspiration from architect-designers such as CFA Voysey, Ernest Gimson and WAS Benson, making pieces to their original archived drawings and designs. With careful research and great attention to detail he works by hand in the best Arts & Crafts traditions. His furniture is made from homegrown timbers such as English oak, walnut and bog oak and often features hand-cut dovetail joints, fine inlays and chip carving. Lighting and metalwork is wrought from brass and copper, forged and riveted, sometimes with chased and repousse decoration. In 1987 he established his workshop and showroom in Frome Somerset.
