We are pleased to announce the admission of two liverymen.

Phil Gibbs and Jason Clancy were admitted as liverymen at our court meeting on Thursday 3 October at Furniture Makers’ Hall.

Profiles of our new liverymen are below.

Phil Gibbs

Phil started his career in the Royal Navy in 1979 and served for 31 years. Phil had a stint working for the University of Portsmouth before joining the Leisure and Outdoor Furniture Association in 2011 and working there for over seven years. He has recently become clerk to the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects. Phil was admitted as a freeman on 19 April 2016.

 

Jason Clancy

Jason Clancy is a historic interiors conservator at Buckingham Palace. Jason graduated from the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology with a BSc in Furniture Conservation and Restoration in 2007. In 2008 Jason started at The Royal Household as a craft technician, before being promoted to furniture conservator in 2012.  In 2017 he was promoted to his current role of historic interiors conservator. Jason was admitted as a freeman 18 April 2018.
