Bollywood summer party raises £7k
A Bollywood themed summer party, organised by our southern region, and attended by more than 100 people has raised £7,000 for the charity.
Dreams founder and president of the southern region Mike Clare kindly hosted the fundraiser at his family home, Hinton House, on Sunday 8 September.
The evening saw no shortage of games to raise money with guests stocking up on raffle tickets and enjoying an oversized game of hook-a-duck by the pool.
Dhol drummers and bhangra dancers kept the theme alive and the energy going, with many choosing to show off their moves in a Bollywood-style dancing workshop.
The only thing that could top the entertainment was a charity auction presided over by antiques expert, author and media personality Eric Knowles.
Peter Keen, chairman of Hypnos Beds and the southern region, said: “The south of England is a region with a long, thriving history of furniture making and we’re delighted to have brought together people from across the country with this event. We’re proud to support our own and want to thank everyone who attended and made this night a success.”
