ACID launches new website
Anti Copying in Design’s (ACID) fresh, new website, designed to include a high profile look alike ‘Spot the Difference’ section for members and non-members, aims to heighten awareness about those who take the fast track to market by producing lookalikes of originals.
World famous Trunki, describe themselves as a team of big kids dedicated to ‘Imagineering’ cool stuff, who use ingenious design (and a little fairy dust) to create products for every journey. Plagued by copying, the latest retailer to produce lookalikes is LIDL.
Lola Designs – Amanda Mountain is another micro, but highly innovative Artist and Greeting Card designer having ongoing look alike issues with Lichfield Evans.
ACID will also be launching its extended ACID brand enforcement services for SMEs, now to include support for both online and offline Intellectual Property infringement. Working with brand enforcement professionals, with proven track records, these services aim to put the real ‘D’ into Deterrence, with fast track action and prosecution. The fight is on!
ACID’s Copyright & Design Databank continues to grow. Currently holding evidence of over 300,000 submitted designs, this provides secure and uniquely numbered reassurance to brand owners that their IP is held in a secure portal endorsed by the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit.
And it’s hats off to our ACID Legal Affiliates who continue to generously sponsor pro-bono specialist advice to members for initial free IP advice and reduced rates as clients.
Packed with the latest news stories and campaigning action – the ACID Newsdesk has a wealth of information on case studies, IP news and campaigning updates.
