New Forest Show

At the recent New Forest Show the Master, Dr. Tony Smart, was pleased to present prizes to a number of young aspiring furniture makers

The Show is one of the largest agricultural shows in the country attracting 95,000 visitors over the three days. The New Forest Trust promotes a number of aspects of the region’s life, and the fine crafted furniture exhibition is designed to show the talents of students from colleges all over the country in designing and making furniture to a brief which specifies amongst other things wood indigenous to the New Forest.

The exhibition also gives students the opportunity to meet potential customers in the 20,000 public visiting this area of the Show.

The Master, in presenting the Company Awards for the best design and the best crafted exhibits, emphasised the importance we attach to helping the furniture makers of the future in their careers
