Design Guild Mark judging day 2017

What makes the Design Guild Mark different to other award schemes out there? It’s a question we’re often asked. The answer is quite simple: there is no other programme (that we know of) where the judges get to inspect both the submitted design but also meet its designer.

It really does make the Design Guild Mark judging process unique.

For the 2017 judging, we were very fortunate to have the talented team from Design Insider – the online magazine run by the British Contract Furnishing Association – join us in documenting the day’s proceedings.

After coming out from a grilling from our panel of expert judges, each designer was led over to the Design Insider team and once again questioned – this time, in a more relaxing manner – about their thoughts on design and the thinking behind their piece.
