What was your first job connected to the furnishings sector?
A sales & marketing consultant to office furniture company OEP Office Furniture.

When did you first get involved with The Furniture Makers’ Company?
About three years ago. I felt honoured to be invited to join The Furniture Makers’ Company. I was inspired by the Company’s mission to ‘give back’, support those who may be experiencing difficulties and promote the industry to future contributors.

Who is your design hero?
John Makepeace for his uncompromising approach and combining the beauty of wood with stunning furniture design. He continues to be a driving force and his furniture maintains a long British tradition – with a modern twist.

What do you see as the benefits of being involved in The Furniture Makers’ Company?
Helping to promote British excellence and the future prosperity of the sector.

What is your favourite thing about the furnishings sector?
The creativity of combining aesthetics with functionality.
