Members of staff from furniture retailer AHF have successfully completed a collective 1,000 mile cycle ride to raise funds for The Furniture Makers’ Company.

Five of AHF’s employees – David Royle, Garry Norris, Jon Peet, Rebekkah Scott and Amy Lord – took part in the fundraiser, which saw them rack up miles individually before splitting into two teams to complete the last 400 miles.

The  team has raised a fantastic £1,000 so far with more donations still coming in.

Ben Burbidge, Master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of AHF. On behalf of The Furniture Makers’ Company, I would like to thank everyone who participated and helped organise this sponsored bike ride. Supporter-led fundraisers such as this are of vital importance to helping The Furniture Makers’ Company achieve its aims of educating young talent for the future, driving excellence and helping people who have fallen on tough times.”

Established in 1979, AHF is one of the largest employee cooperatives in the UK, specialising in the retail of quality home furnishings at affordable prices.
