Members of The Furniture Makers’ Company were treated to a private viewing of this year’s INSPIRED exhibition yesterday evening (11 May).

Over 120 people attended the annual selling exhibition at The Goldsmiths’ Centre in Clerkenwell to view the captivating work of 15 of the UK’s best bespoke furniture makers and 80 silversmiths.

Now in its fourth year, INSPIRED is a successful collaboration between The Furniture Makers’ Company and the Festival of Silver.

While all of the work on show was of an exceptionally high standard, two standout pieces at the event were John Makepeace’s three-legged bog oak and silver chair for the Master of The Carpenters’ Company, as well as a mace for the Arts University, Bournemouth.

Another unmissable design was Byron and Gomez’s Log Stack Cabinet in oak and white resin.

INSPIRED is running until Saturday 14 May, so make sure you don’t miss out on seeing a truly stunning collection of furniture and silver.
