Student Industrial Tour Reports

Each year the Young Furniture Makers organise the annual Student Industrial Tour. 30+ students studying a range of furniture related subjects, gather together from across the country in the North West of England for a 3 day tour which gives them an insight into how the furniture industry works.

By visiting businesses who deal with material, design, manufacturing, and retail activities the students get to see a sides of the industry they wouldn’t usually be exposed to. Mixed with a chance to meet like minded people and socialise in the evenings, the event continues to be fun and insightful  for everyone involved.
